Join parents from around the area to educate yourself about homeschooling and/or supporting the middle school years (grades 6-8). In the morning, hear about developmental theories of early adolescents (11-14 year olds) and how to use that in developing academic and social programs for this age group. In the afternoon, attend break-out sessions from leading Triangle-area organizations that focus on such topics as science education, award-winning software, and international education for middle school students. Geared towards homeschoolers, but most information is appropriate for anyone with 10-14 year olds...or families who will have children in that age range before they know it!
